So some old-school cruisers, green-thumbs, and hippies head into Sonoma County…

Not the start to a bad joke; they really are coming- to attend the various multi-day festivals taking place here in Sonoma County this weekend.  Check out these events and take a look at the event calendar online for more culinary, wine, outdoor recreation, and arts appreciation happenings here this weekend! 

 

Bring the whole family to 7th Annual Peggy Sue’s All-American Cruise:

There will be American made cars dating from the early 1900s to 1976 restored, customized, polished and shined. Live music and entertainment will take you back in time as you try your luck at trivia and games throughout the day. There will be all kinds of food including BBQ, Old Fashion Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, ice-cream and more.  Browse through vendor booths to find items for the car, the children and the women. From wax to memorabilia, you’ll find it all.

Garden tours for a cause: Russian River Resorts in Bloom- June 12-14

Get your groove and green on at the 31st Annual Harmony Festival- June 12-14

The Harmony Festival is a “green”, multi-generational, family-friendly gathering celebrating new ideas, community activism, eco-awareness, spiritual wisdom, visionary art, and uplifting music.  The event features a wealth of attractions including a dynamic kids zone, world-class youth-oriented action sports village, more than 300 vendor, and a variety of interactive workshops. There will also be film screenings, community dialogues, and of course the nightly Harmony After Dark, Saturday afternoon People’s Parade, the legendary Techno Tribal Dance on Saturday night, and the closing night ceremony and charity fundraiser After Party on Sunday.  Oh, and the music?  This year’s festival line-up is outstanding and features Michael Franti and Spearhead, India.Arie, Matisyahu, Cake, K’Naan, Sierra Leone’s Refugee All-Stars, among many others!
