SFMOMA How Wine Became Modern Design Exhibit

The new exhibit at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, known as SFMOMA, showcases the relationship between the wine industry and modern design.  The exhibit offers visitors a chance to see winery design from around the world including our very own Stryker Sonoma.  The wineries featured offer a glimpse into how the wine industry has begun to influence modern culture through stemware design to home and interior design.  The exhibit runs until April, and we encourage you to take a tour and then head to Sonoma County to see the wineries and taste the wines showcased in the exhibit.  Here are some of the winery specials for those who attend the exhibit.  You will need your entrance ticket to the museum so don’t throw it away!

To excite and entice you, here are some photos of the exhibit taken courtesy of my iPhone.

We hope to see you exploring Sonoma County soon!

At the sensory wall, visitors have the chance to pick out specific "notes" in the nose (smell) of wine.

The wall of wine labels showcases different categories for different types of label designs. I think the Alexander Valley Vineyards "Wicked Weekend" should have been included. I have sinned, now please Zinfandel, redeem me.

These are just some of the exhibit components.  You have until April to peruse the exhibit and come visit us here in Sonoma Wine Country.  Cheers to the good life!
