Obama – Will It Be Korbel?

Lora Finnegan, a noted travel writer-turned-blogger, wonders if Korbel’s champagne will be used in Obama’s inauguration:

Champagne is made to celebrate life’s big events and there is no bigger American event this January than the inauguration of President-elect Barack Obama (Jan. 20). But what drink should you use to toast the event (or this coming New Year’s)? Try one champagne that’s been featured in each of the six past Presidential Inaugurations (since 1985’s Reagan Inaugural): Sonoma County’s own Korbel.  More…

Lora’s right about Korbel being a great tour (check out the deli!) and a good stop around the redwoods. Some other Sonoma County bubbly houses Obama should consider include Iron Horse Vineyards, J, and Gloria Ferrer.
