Loves the Cheeses

Clark Wolf, Sonoma County resident, bon vivant and food deity, has a new book out called, “American Cheeses.”

While Inside-Sonoma hasn’t had a chance to read the book yet (Clark- where’s the signed copy? Where’s the request for a shameless dust jacket blurb? You gotta tap into the Inside-Sonoma mojo… ) someone in our office has a copy on his desk, and we’re going to swipe just as soon as we can.

So while we can’t speak about the book, we do know that Clark knows food, and is always good for some local secrets on what’s hot, hip and delicious.

Clark first brought us to Mom’s Apple Pie, and he’s the guy that raves about eating in Graton. He also drinks about 4 triple espressos a day.

Order the book for the holidays, and hang around some of the dining establishments in West County and see if he’ll sign your copy.

And if you really want some cheeses from Sonoma County, here are some good places:

  1. Thanks Sheana. You’ll get your signed copy when I see you at that private gathering on the 6th – and we can all chat and nibble and share good cheese gossip when we’re all together with those wonderful cheese makers in Sonoma-the-town on the 7th. I know you’ll be telling everyone about that – at the Women’s Center. Then on the 8th I’m at River Reader in Guerneville, and on the 12th I’m in Healdsburg at Copperfields. So fire up the espresso machine!! xo c

  2. Everyone in our office has a copy on thier desk- the book is excellent and a great holiday gift to enjoy whilst sampling all of the wonderful local Sonoma American Cheeses!
