Ah, farm market season is open for business. Hunt down that bargain of fresh produce, artisan jams, jellies, and cheeses. Bump into old friends or meet new ones. Enjoy a gourmet meal at a fraction of the cost of a restaurant meal.
What? Rewind. Yes, Sonoma County’s farm markets are on the foodie radar for trying new chefs and food vendors, for example Hot Cheese. This joint venture includes Mei Ibach, Santa Rosa Junior College instructor, John Ash, local celebrity chef and teacher, and Bruce Riezenman, of Park Avenue Catering. With this culinary talent, it can only be good.
You can find Hot Cheese at the Thursday night market in Windsor beginning June 17 through August 26. They’re selling – what else – grilled cheese sandwiches, all oozing with mouth-watering goodness. The classic grilled cheese is a blend of cheeses grilled on delicious bread. It’s served with John Ash’s Spicy Tomato Soup, Salsa Verde, and veggie pickles.
Come on out and discover them for yourself. It’s hot, it’s tasty, and it’s happening!

Can’t wait for HOT cheese….Looks Yummy!!
Sorry but I am DISAPPOINTED! Got 4 sandwiches tonight from Windsor Farmer’s Mkt and I could make better and I am no chef. VERY ordinary for the price. I’ll stick to home made. :(
