I have to admit that I never watched any motorsports prior to living in Sonoma County. However, I have found the AMA, IRL and NASCAR races to be exciting and enjoyable. Not only does the people watching fascinate me, but the concerts, auctions, garage tours and vendor exhibits keep you hanging around all day.
Sonoma County’s racing headquarters, Infineon Raceway, just announced their 2009 schedule and it is jam packed with a race for everyone. If you are into classic cars, check out the Wine Country Classic. If the smell of motor fuel is more your speed, check out the NASCAR or IRL races. If crazy guys on motorcycles gets you going, don’t miss the AMA Showdown.
