Enjoy a fitness retreat for your body and mind

We are always looking for new way to enjoy ourselves. I had the pleasure of joining Stacie Sherman, owner and CEO of Fitness & Vine Retreat, on a recent outing. I met up with her group for what I thought was going to be a simple walk through a state park that I had walked many times before.

By the end of the “walk,” I was covered with sweat and had a sense of accomplishment about pushing my body. Others in the group noted they participate in activities that include rafting down the Russian River and exploring the Sonoma coast, which included Jenner and Bodega Bay.

Fitness & Vine is a fitness camp that combines a weight loss camp and fitness vacation experience into one. The program is designed to focus on the individual: meeting with a nutritionist or having a one-on-one with a fitness counselor.

Along with the hike, I also went to a few of the classes provided by the program and gained a lot of knowledge that I continue to use today. Stacie has partnered with many local business and facilities to provide a customized program for each guest while they are a part of this body-rejuvenating fitness program.

Guests stay at the Fountaingrove Inn in Santa Rosa. Meals are created for each guest at Equus Restaurant at the inn. As part of the course, you are taken to a local restaurant for education on how to eat out while keeping your physical wellness in mind. And the program also treats you to an in-room massage.

In order to benefit greatest from this program only 10 people a week are accepted. It’s perfect for those looking for a bridal boot camp or for a family who wants to change their daily physical and nutritional needs.

This program may just be what you need to jump start your fitness goals. Good health to you.
