Cafe Citti: The first place I go when I visit home

I’m a born and bred Sonoma County girl, I’ve either lived or worked in every area of the county. I also love local food and do my best to try all the local eateries. Yet every time I come home I make sure this restauraunt is on my to-do list. Cafe Citti is well known to many locals and wine/food industry professionals. I also believe it has a Zagat rating so it’s not as obscure as it could be. Cafe Citti is in Kenwood, near Sonoma, right on Hwy 12 in “wine country”. But be careful! If you blink you may miss it. And if you do see it you may only think it’s a little shack along the way. This is part of what keeps it so unique. Their ordering style is a little simple, but that adds to the charm. This is hands down one of the best Italian restauraunts in the North Bay, if not Northern California. They are infamously known for their rottiserie chicken, but I love their seasonal menu. I have introduced dozens of locals and tourists alike to Cafe Citti over the years, and never once have I had a less than rave review. If you are looking for beautiful scenerey, fantastic food, and a bill that doesn’t hurt your wallet too much, this is it!
