This weekend brings back the second-ever Freestone Fermentation Festival, a celebration of all things fermented

As the official announcement tells us:

The festival presents the perfect situation to mingle with Master Fermenters of every kind gathered to share their wares and wisdom. Festival goers can graze on a wide variety of fermented foods to their hearts content, including breads, cheeses, miso, pickles, sauerkraut, natto and kombucha. Scores of hands-on demonstrations and educational presentations for children and adults promise to make this a unique spring community festival.

Freestone, of course, is one those hip little enclaves in West Sonoma County, adored by cyclists, day-trippers and serious Pinot-philes for it’s rolling topography, beautiful scenery and awesome winegrapes, respectively.

The fact that the Osmosis Spa and WildFlour Bread is out there doesn’t hurt one bit.

The Festival is this Saturday, May 15th from High Noon to 5 pm, or whenever the kimchi runs out. Check out the schedule for the full run-down of whowhatwhenwhereandhows.

Tickets are $15 and they are here: http://travel.sonomacounty.com/2138_attraction-tickets_a924.html
